B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1: Undertake challenges in design and development related to mechanical engineering put forth by academia and industry.

PEO2: Adapt to technological changes in Mechanical Engineering and foster related research to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to societal needs.

PEO3: Establish start-up initiative and demonstrate professional leadership and skills to work in multidisciplinary teams, with good communication abilities and ethical values.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO1: Mechanical Engineering design: Achieveoptimised product design utilising the advanced knowledge in thermal engineering, material science, manufacturing, and production.

PSO2: Mechanical Engineering analysis : Analyse, interpret and provide solutions to real life mechanical engineering and related problems.

PSO3: Managerial excellence : Attain excellence in using managerial tools and techniques for effective and efficient manufacturing and in developing leadership skills with ethical and environmental practices.



B.Tech. Industrial Engineering

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1: Undertake challenges in design and develop sustainable solutions to problems put forth by industry and society through effective interaction between academia and industry.

PEO2: Respond to technological changes with scientific and industrial engineering tools and foster research and entrepreneurship.

PEO3: Demonstrate professional leadership and skills to work in multidisciplinary teams with effective communication and ethical values.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO1: Industrial Engineering tools implementation: Identify, define, analyse, formulate, and solve problems related to manufacturing and service systems by applying tools of Industrial Engineering.

PSO2: Decision support systems: Employ computational and experimental tools for effective decision making and support purposes.

PSO3: Optimised system design: Design optimised systems and process to meet desired needs within social, economic, technical, environmental, and financial constraints.

M.Tech. Machine Design

PEO1: Undertake design of machines/components/process to meet desired specifications of need and constraints.
PEO2: Apply principles and concepts in design engineering to produce quality design in tune with needs of industries.
PEO3: Use modern engineering tools for analyzing and solving practical problems of industry and society.

Program Outcomes (POs)

PO1:  An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems
PO2:  An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
PO3:  Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program
PO4: Ability to apply stream knowledge to design or develop solutions for real world problems by following standards
PO5: Ability to identify, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and state of the art tools to model, analyze and solve practical engineering problems
PO6: Ability to engage in life-long learning for the design and development related problems taking in to consideration sustainability, societal, ethical and environmental aspects



M.Tech. Thermal Science

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1: Foster frontier technological research in thermal science and engineering area.
PEO2: Develop technology that minimizes thermal related environmental degradation and exploits carbon free energy.
PEO3: Undertake optimum design of thermal systems and components.

Program Outcomes (POs)
PO1:  An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems
PO2:  An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
PO3:  Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program
PO4: Be a competent post graduate employable in industry and research organizations in the areas of fluid flow, heat transfer, heat exchangers, turbo-machines, refrigeration and air conditioning, cryogenics, combustion and non-conventional sources of energy.
PO5: Ability to identify, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and state of the art tools to model, analyze and solve problems in the area of thermal science
PO6: Ability to engage in lifelong learning for the achievement of solution for socially and economically significant problems considering sustainability, society and environment


M.Tech. Propulsion Engineering

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO1: Apply in depth knowledge of technical fundamentals to cater needs of aerospace industry.
PEO2: Undertake challenging works in aerospace industries and academic institutions.
PEO3: Work for the development and maintenance of systems involving combustion and do research activities for minimizing harmful emissions.

PEO1: Design and develop innovative and cost-effective renewable energy systems to contribute towards the realization of sustainable development goals.
PEO2: Excel in Industry/technical profession, higher studies, and entrepreneurship exhibiting global competitiveness in renewable energy sector.
PEO3: Exhibit professional ethics and values and ability to relate sustainable engineering issues to broader social context.
